Coalition for IDPs Rights
On April 14, 2010 on mother language day the winners of a calligraphy competition were revealed in the manuscript national centre; the winners were granted with the presents. IDP winner children were awarded with the personal computers by the minister of Refugees and Accommodation of Georgia Koba Subeliani.

UNITED WATER SUPPLY COMPANY OF GEORGIA, UNICEF LAUNCH JOINT PROGRAMSThe United Water Supply Company of Georgia and UNICEF have launched a joint program in the Shida Kartli region. Within the project framework, Director of the project Zura Dikhamidze has visited the public school #12 in Gori. The majority of children in the given school are refugees. Representatives of the United Water Supply Company of Georgia and UNICEF also visited the densely settled IDP areas in Shida Kartli to hear their problems. The goal of the project is to inform the population about the harm the polluted water can cause human beings, and to promote sanitary hygienic norms. The consumers will also be taught how to save water. As a result of the project, consumers will save their water resources and increase incomes to be invested in solution of other problems. |
Monitoring by “Transparency International – Georgia”The “Transparency International – Georgia” that is a member of an Advisory Council of the Coalition “for IDPs rights”, has implemented monitoring in 14 places of the compact settlement of IDPs, who were forced to leave their homes during the war in August.
